Urgent Veterinary Care

Veterinary urgent care is designed for pets who need prompt attention but aren’t experiencing life-threatening emergencies. At Main Line Urgent Vet, we provide same-day care for urgent issues that require quick and expert treatment.

Examples of conditions we commonly treat:

Vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of appetite
Ear infections and eye infections
Hot spots and skin irritations
Torn or ingrown toenails
Wounds, abscesses and lacerations
Anal gland issues
Trauma
Limping, trouble walking
Neck and back pain
Coughing, sneezing, or eye discharge
Urinary issues
Allergic reactions
Toxins
Foreign bodies
Seizures
Heat Stroke

Please note that we are not a 24-hour emergency facility and do not offer overnight hospitalization. We understand it can be hard to recognize when your pet is in a life-threatening situation. If such a case arises, our team will do everything we can to stabilize your pet to ensure a safe transfer to an emergency or specialty care center.

Surgery & Endoscopy

At Main Line Urgent Vet, we offer a wide range of surgical care, including (but not limited to):

Exploratory surgery and foreign body removal
Cystotomy
Urethral obstruction relief
Pyometra treatment
Laceration and wound repair
Enucleation
Tail amputation

Endoscopy
Endoscopy provides a minimally invasive option for foreign body removals when appropriate.

Please note, while we provide these urgent surgeries and procedures, we do not offer overnight hospitalization. If your pet requires extended post-operative care or monitoring, we will assist and guide you and your pet to a 24-hour emergency or specialty hospital to ensure the best care possible.

We offer a comprehensive range of in-house diagnostic services to quickly identify your pet’s health concerns and guide effective treatment. Our advanced technology includes:

Bloodwork with AI-powered analysis
Urinalysis
Cytology with pathologist review available within 1 hour
Coagulation testing
FIV and Feline Leukemia testing
Heartworm and Tick-borne disease testing
Intestinal Parasite testing (processed through an outside lab)

Provides radiographs within minutes for fast, accurate imaging
Images can be reviewed by a veterinary specialist within 1 hour for expert interpretation

Helps assess internal organs and guide urgent care decisions

End of Life Care
